Will the FoamFooting blow away in heavy winds? Heavy rain?

FoamFooting, properly installed and fully incorporated into your base material via a drag and normal usage, will not blow away in regular winds. It bonds to the sand, securing it in place. FoamFooting™ is a dense foam, but since its application is on the surface, like all surface materials, heavy winds may have an impact. A majority of arenas install side rails to keep footing in place and this works well for securing any loose foam. The same answer applies for heavy rain.

Will FoamFooting™ work for indoor and outdoor arenas?

Yes, FoamFooting™ will benefit your horses, your riders and your maintenance schedule in both indoor and outdoor arenas.

How does FoamFooting™ compare to other additives?

As riders ourselves, with facilities in the desert (temperatures to 120°) and in cold elevations (temperatures to -20°) we have tried many additives and nothing compares to FoamFooting™ in your outdoor or indoor arenas. Please refer to this chart which compares FoamFooting™, textile fibers and rubber mulch.

Does FoamFooting™ break down, similar to rubber?

Rubber is very hard. It gets harder over time as it is exposed to the elements and under heavy pressure it will crumble. Rubber continually needs to be replenished. FoamFooting™ is a dense TPE material that maintains its physical properties for many years.

Can I get FoamFooting™ in other colors?

Yes! We have had many special color requests we were able to satisfy. We can also supply a neutral color mix. As a reminder, once the colors are mixed in with the sand they are not as brilliant as they are when initially installed.

How deep should arena footing be for horses?

Arena footing should be at least 3 inches (8 cm) deep. If you are using sand or dirt, then the footing should be 6 inches (15 cm).

What is the best type of sand for horse arenas?

Sand used for equestrian arenas should be fine enough to allow horses to walk on it without sinking into it. It also needs to be free from sharp objects or stones that could injure the hooves of horses. We recommend a sub-angular sand such as concrete or masonry sand to mix with footing additives like Foam Footing.

How soon are orders shipped after I pay?

Orders are shipped within 5-7 business days. If delays occur outside of these normal conditions, due to weather, supply or demand, we will advise you promptly.

How am I notified when an order is shipped?

After an order is picked up, we will email you a tracking number.

How are orders shipped?

Orders are shipped via a freight service. They will be delivered in most cases, with a truck and lift-gate on palettes. For smaller orders, they may arrive by smaller transport services.

Where do you ship from?

Orders will be shipped from our warehouses in California or Arizona. As we continue to expand, this may also change.

Where do you ship to?

We ship worldwide. For orders outside of the United States, please contact us for accurate pricing on freight.

Do I need a forklift or tractor to unload it?

Yes, you will need a tractor or forklift to remove the pallets from the truck. If you have neither, the delivery will occur with lift gate where the driver will lower and set your pallets in a location that is truck accessible. This comes at an additional cost of $150 which you can purchase at checkout. You will be responsible for moving them off of the palettes to their final destination.

Can I store your products if I do not use them right away?

Yes, our products are meant to be easily stored. Please keep them out of the weather elements and direct sunlight. Best storage is in a covered location such as a garage or barn.
